I"m not usually a fan of work representing decay and destruction, but some of these images are striking and compelling. I've seen photos of the ruin of Detroit in the US, but those photos, while compelling, are bleak and colorless.
Here, these photos show decay, but these colors of the past remaining behind -- shining through the decay if you will, and especially with the light of late afternoon -- make this work breathtaking and magical.
Quality of Light always makes for remarkable work, but here it accentuates and makes the decay almost new, as if it were created to be like this. Marvelous.
Another title that really suits the photo again. "Symphony of Silence" is a good title to a photo of an abandoned grand hotel which have hosted before events such as weddings and grand events. The wallpaper is teared apart, the floor with dust, a piano totally disused, windows and bricks destroyed, and a grand ceiling and chandelier dead and no longer living. Still, the sun shines in the photo, and the windows are the source of light in this once grand hotel which was a beautiful point in old decades. Have yet not been abandoned the this would be in this kind of shape. Good photo, and I hope you capture more photos of abandoned places. I'll give you five stars.
