The first thing you notice when you look at this is the deep contrast of the bright, cheery blue ceilings with the dull walls and floors. It adds to the sense that this place was once very significant. I think you could have used the lighting a bit differently to add to that effect, but it still does help that cause. My eyes are drawn to the rubble on the floor, the focal point seems slightly disputed. But overall, it really does tie together perfectly, from the slight greenery showing at the stairs, to the intricate designs of the windows. (Sorry if this doesn't make sense, first critique. I tried to make it sound as professional as possible.)
You have a very wonderful way of captivating the feel of the places you photograph. I almost don't need to ask what the walls would say if they could talk, they are speaking to me through the cracked paint and rubble. I really enjoy the bright blue on the ceiling, it has a very cosmic feel to it. Your composition is wonderfully balanced in all areas. I am especially astonished by the use of light. Your attention to detail is also very impressive. From the wood work, down to the smallest piece of broken tile, I can only imagine how beautiful this space must have been when it was first built. Phenomenal work!
i just dont understand how places like these can be left abandoned how can they be so easily forgotten it makes me wonder how beautiful they must have been
First of all I wanted to say how beautiful this photo is (well all in your gallery). The colours are great and I love how you perfectly blended the abandoned and decaying aspect of this castle but also its former beauty. Truly magnificent. Another thing I love about it, is that I have been working on a story where some places are abandoned due to war and this is the state that some are in, so its perfect! Thank you for sharing!
