First of all I want to praise your choice on the lightning. Its subtle and gentle touch really befits the solitary theme. Though the lightning may be forgiving, the colours on the wall on the left seems to have been preserved too well. However the broken piano and the chair totally makes up for it as it gives off a powerful impact of destruction and abandoned. Though I'm not sure whether this is intentional or not I realise that the rubble are all pointing towards the Piano as if drawing the audience's attention to it. Overall good choice of angle and great work.

Hello.
I was particularly drawn to this work as it reminds me of the Baroque era. (If you see my page you'll understand). I think it's very visually dynamic and has a sense of ageing, but in the modern day. It sort of looks like the Chenobyl disaster nowadays, with the eery green. I like your lighting choice, and how the natural light from the window in the foreground comes through. I think perhaps it is a little too finely set up as a set, which is why I've marked slightly down on orginality.
Overall, a beautiful piece of artwork. My Congratulations!

Actually, you said nothing about advertising other people's art in your "advertisement" other than saying that this artist's picture is featured. And yeah, it is inappropriate to advertise along with someone else's art without their permission.

(sorry bout my broken english) i like this, but if you let me give expression about this, is better if there's have a smoky effect, a little touch of hdr effect and focal point is focused on the chair and piano so that attention is not split anywhere as result by more lights out from the room next door. but overall is really great. well done mate.

 I read your journal and I agree ... despite wanting to know who, where and what are (were) these places, over time some people destroy these places ... in my small town there are some houses and factories of the 20's and it was wonderful to explore that in my youth ... I knew the stories of haunting, and I explored the abandoned constructions ... in the heart of the forest ... and I took a few friends to see the places ... now, everything is badly damaged ... :noes:

=D I look at your photos and for a moment I can see the place restored, people walking, talking ... the fascination of the place and what it meant to those people ... I imagine the stories about these people ... and the walls witnessed ... joys, sorrows, death and love ... not just another time, but another reality of life ... :meow:
thank you for that! :)

There's a scene in the opening of "The Pianist" that looks exactly like this, perhaps it was shot at the same location.

I can't believe this beauty of a place is abandoned actually.
Even when it shows decaying, i love the look of it, those greens ... my god, as a huge fan of history i can't believe this kind of thing happens to places that should be protected.
Overall, the pic frooze a moment in time, a perfect one ;)
