The Golden Chapel by Matthias-Haker The Golden Chapel by Matthias-Haker
I recently discovered a couple of "new" abandoned churches.
Since churches are probably my absolute favorite subject when it comes to derelict buildings, i will show some in my next uploads ;)

Very interesting perspective. The curvature gives the photo an abstract element that allows the viewer to focus on the shapes and colors rather than be caught in the actuality. The pull happens as the eyes tries to make sense. the mirror like image keeps the viewer searching throughout the image like trying to decode a puzzle. I find myself seeking understanding for identifiable and recognizable objects. The eyes eventually land at the center where more searching takes place. The beauty in this work is the ability of the photo to keep and hold the attention of its spectator. Well Done!

There's something about this photo that has me intrigued... Don't know if its the perspective, the fact that it's old and abandoned, or the colors -the blue of the windows is just like it shoud not be there, but at the same time it fits just perfectly... As I said, don't know, maybe it's all of it combined.
And that's why I love it.(:
